Middle School Fashion Camp
Do you like to shop? Do you love picking out cool outfits from your closet and creating new things to wear? Are you dreading doing most of your schoolwork online this fall and would love some in-person interaction with other students who have similar interests with you? Do you dream of working in a fashion-related career when you get older? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions then you will be happy to know that Banson NYC is excited to offer our first program for middle school students this fall. It is designed to teach the students the fundamentals of the fashion industry by incorporating activities that highlight many different aspects of this field. The students will meet with a fashion photographer and do an interactive activity with their cameras. They will also do an exercise that helps them understand how buyers select merchandise for their stores. Students will create image/mood boards before creating their own sustainable accessory. We will also act as stylists and do an exercise based around our own closets. This camp consists of 10 hours of instruction as well as independent work between classes. Our program takes place from 3:00 - 5:00 pm on Wednesday, September 23rd and will continue for the following four Wednesdays at the same time. We will be meeting outside wearing masks in South Orange, NJ. We accept applications on a first come, first served basis with a maximum of 20 participants accepted. Please complete the Middle School Fashion Camp Application or simply contact Banson NYC at (917) 328-1469 or hollandg@bansonnyc.org for more information.
